Dark is the sky and veiled the unknown morrow
Dark is life's way, for night is not yet o'er;
The longed-for glimpse I may not meanwhile borrow;
But, this I know, HE GOETH ON BEFORE.
Dangers are nigh and fears my mind are shaking;
Heart seems to dread what life may hold in store;
But I am His--He knows the way I'm taking,
More blessed still--HE GOETH ON BEFORE.
Doubts cast their weird, unwelcome shadows o'er me,
Doubts that life's best--life's choicest things are o'er;
What but His Word can strengthen, can restore me,
And this blest fact; that still HE GOES BEFORE.
HE GOES BEFORE! Be this my consolation!
He goes before! On this my heart would dwell!
He goes before! This guarantees salvation!
HE GOES BEFORE! And therefore all is well.

Well, today is a very special day for someone...it's Abby's 16th birthday! Ab has grown into a beautiful young lady. She is disciplined, enjoys photography, loves to play soccer, plays the piano by ear, loves her friends and family, and likes to go hiking, swimming, and running. She is also serious about her relationship with the Lord. We love you, Abby, and wish you a very Happy Sweet Sixteenth Birthday!

Mr. and Mrs. Griffin Martin
Our soccer group
On a weekend in July, Griff & I took a trip down to a couple of lakes in MO with my grandparents' wavereunners. One morning we had breakfast at this little marina.
In March, Abby & I visited our friends from Iowa.
In March, our church had a couples banquet.
My mom told me yesterday that she thought I should update my blog because it was getting a little old. She's exactly right! Since you most likely received our Christmas letter, I will only highlight some of the events and moments of our year--through pictures! Enjoy and may you have a wonderful new year as you grow closer to Him!
Veteran's Day Parade
This was taken in Grandfather's Mansion while on vacation to Branson
The boys got soaked during a wet ride at Silver Dollar City
The Vetter's Softball Team of 2007! Go VETTERS!!!!
We celebrated the 4th by swimming at some friends' house, watching fireworks at Ft. Leavenworth, and then later enjoying a cookout, games, and fireworks with some of our church family at our friends' home, the following Saturday.
