A little spot in the world where I post (and sometimes fail to post) random things about my life.
Top o' the mornin' to ye!
I am enjoying my stay in Ireland. And if we abide till the 15th of April I can take part in the Pan celtic Festival where I shall enjoy celtic dancing and pipe band perfornaces and more. I have done several things one is to visit Enniskillen castle, which was built almsot 600 years ago. It had guarded one of the few passes into Ulster thus it was stratefically important throughout history. In the 17th Century it became an Eglish garrison fort. Spent an afternoon at the zoo where I saw porcupines and giraffes. Every one should eat a slice of spiced apple tart which is very good as are the doughnuts. Yesterday I had smoked salmon with soda bread. And my breakfast of Irish breakfast tea with bacon, fried eggs, white pudding, toast, sauteed sliced potato and fried tomato are all great! I love all the castles but now I am in Dublin city which is rich in history. I could be busy in this place for a week but I hope to go to the country on Saturday when the town gets crowded with shoppers. I must stop now and visit St Patrick`s Cathedral wich is the largest church. Valerie Ps What are you doing travlers?
Today I visited Causey Farms and had some delicious regional food! Now I am off to Belfast, the capital Of Northern Ireland, where I will be taking a fascinating city tour. Later I should see inspiring views of the Lagan River valley as well as the famous falls.Valerie
I am out in the country today. Did my shopping and got a clover oin, bookmark, book on the country and some playing cards of the castle. Today is in 60F and I am going tosee the Victorian and Edwardian buildings with elabrate sculptures over doors and windows. I can not wait to learn what you have doen on this part of your trip. Valerie
Been a while since I have writen and no news from my fellow travlers. Had a cold for a few days . I was wondering if I was growing careless about my hair and my dress. Yet duty to God includes duty to one`s neighbot and untidy hair makes one offensive to all one meets. This is taken from a book i am reading Stepping Heaven Ward. Been thinking about this alot.
